This client operates paid parking facilities and needed a system that could track entries, exits, and payments across many sites without losing money to reconciliation errors. The core is a web platform built against a documented OpenAPI specification, so mobile clients and internal tools all consume the same contract rather than drifting from an undocumented backend.
We built a QR-based entry and exit flow, native iOS and Android attendant apps, and later consolidated shared logic into a Kotlin Multiplatform app to keep both platforms in step. The reconciliation system matches transactions across sites and payment channels automatically, which replaced a manual month-end process that used to take days.
Infrastructure is defined as code with OpenTofu and deployed inside the client’s own AWS VPC, reachable only through a hardened bastion host. The platform has been in continuous operation since 2020.
